a new computer... a 3 year old... an almost 6 month old... and a mommy who is going to write a wee bit more...
Making: my lunch and snacks for tomorrow.. it's a Childrens Hospital day
Cooking: a nice dinner for my sweet husband...flounder, sweet potatoes and a delicious salad
Drinking: lemon sparkling water
Reading: not enough
Wanting: another weekend date with my husband at the Ritz Carlton on the books
Looking: at the gingerbread house William and I made
Playing: relaxing music; Pachelbel meets U2
Wasting: yogurt...William never seems to finish!
Sewing: not as much as I would like...
Wishing: for Charlie to sleep through the night consistently
Enjoying: the little things about being a stay at home mom
Waiting: for a little snow in the forecast
Liking: the sound of William laughing and Charlie squeaking
Wondering: what Charlie's voice will sound like
Loving: my sweet family
Hoping: that quiet time turns back into nap time
Marvelling: at how quickly babies grow and change
Needing: a little more time with girlfriends
Smelling: my sweet boys right after bath time in fresh pajamas (perhaps that is why the laundry is never ending?!)
Wearing: matching pajamas and Tory Burch slippers
Following: a little red fire engine often
Noticing: how William watches and listens to everything we do and say
Knowing: that all of this hard work will pay off
Thinking: that the new world as a family of 4 is really feeling just right...
Feeling: content
Bookmarking: eating clean
Opening: the pantry and seeing sweet goodies reminding me of Christmas with family and wishing it wasn't over quite yet..
Giggling: that we never figured out what a "Pullkeepine" was from Williams Christmas list and he is still asking why Santa didn't bring one...

20 months old...
Sweetest pea... how can it be?! 20 months old! My goodness... you are closer to a 2 year old than a 1 year old! My, oh my!
You Love...
-Fire engines.
-Trucks. all kinds of trucks... and you are teaching your mom. "No mommy, front end loader!"
-Water. Swimming. bath time. water table.
-Trains. Every train is Thomas the train! You watched Thomas for the first time and couldn't believe he actually moves!
-Books. you sleep with them every night.
-Snacks. you have an opinion these days and make your own decisions... string cheese, crackers, yogurt and pears are among your favorites. MILK!
-Rocking at night with mommy or daddy.
-Your friends. You talk about them all of the time! Some school friends... Katelyn, Annie, Mila, Anderson, Tripp, Claire... Some neighborhood friends... Jacob, Chase and Grayson... Playgroup friends... Miller, Emma, Carolina, Cole, Jack... and some life friends... Molly, Elizabeth Grace, Charlie, Charlotte, Lucas, Eliza, Cooper, Brayden, Collin, Francie, Jack, Noah....and the list goes on! You are such a fun little guy!
-Time with family... Uncle Bentley, Aunt Jesseeeca, Uncle Brandon, Bonnie, "Aunt Meal" (Camille), Cousin Sam, Granny gina, auntie kate... and of course...Lolly, Pop, Chiqui and Papi! You talk about them all of the time and love seeing them!
-Playing outside
-Flying on airplanes
-Seeing animals at the zoo
-Coloring (you know all of your colors although orange is a very tricky color!)
-talking about shapes (you also know your shapes and point them out often!)
-Singing... some of your favorites include 1. baa baa black sheep 2. wheels on the bus 3. twinkle twinkle
4. Jesus loves me 5. the itsy bitsy spider 6. thumbkin 7. apples and bananas 8. Shoo fly 9. oh mr. sun 10. eieiooo (old mcdonald had a farm)
-Your puppies! You help feed them, you pet them so sweetly and call them when they are outside (only occasionally do you hit them with your pretend golf clubs and end up in time out... oops!)
You say...
Everything!
You repeat everything we say and then some!
A few favorites include..
Rooster = "cocka doo doo"
"hold you"
"stand up" (while holding you, you don't want us to sit down.. you would rather be on the go!)
"close the door"
We have had a few OOPSIES with words you have repeated... everyone has to be G rated around you!
things you don't love right now...
Getting your hair cut!
Getting your diaper changed in the morning
Getting in the car seat without a snack!
Visiting the doctors office (after you were in the hospital for 3 days when you were 17 months old, doctors visits are hard work)
Time out... even just 1 minute is really hard!
You have an opinion...
About what you wear (your fire engine pajamas are your favorite... you would wear them all the time if you could!), about what shoes you wear (you love your red shoes), about who you want to pray for, about what you will and will not eat... we love seeing your little personality shine!
YOU are such a SWEET boy! you love to cuddle... you say "snuggle mommy" at night time and say "I love you" with such tenderness... you sing songs with us, you "read" your favorite opposite books to us... you are a dear friend and love to check on others when they are crying or sad... we adore you and love seeing the little boy you are becoming (although slow down a little buddy!)
xoxo, mommy and daddy

13 months...
A 13 month old? When did THAT happen? Well, William's World is all up to date but writing takes a bit more time while trying to keep up with a buzzing little bee! One of my goals this year is to write AT LEAST once per month as our little William finds his little personality!
13 months old. Running and into EVERYTHING!
Dear William,
We can't believe you are 13 months old! What an awesome birthday party... it was a BALL! With friends and family alike, we celebrated YOU all day! It was very special and exactly what we hoped for... a happy and JOY filled day!
You transitioned to your cup beautifully 2 weeks before your birthday. I thought we would give a cup a try and you think its great! You drink whole milk now (only took a couple of weeks to take the formula completely away!) out of a sippy cup and water out of a straw cup. You just dropped your morning nap (on your own) so are sleeping once during the day and still in bed asleep by 7 and awake around 715 unless we are getting up for school (640 is tough work!).
You still love being held when you drink your cup and you love to snuggle at night and rock before bed time. You have quite an opinion about which books you like and which ones are not your favorite. Your teachers love to watch you flip the pages and notice the new books on the shelves. Right now you love all of your truck books and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar!" Maybe you like it so much because you like all of the yummy food!
You eat any and everything! Some of your favorites are apples, pears, clementines, applesauce, butternut squash ravioli, coconut chicken, turkey, cheese, pita bread, hummus!, veggie burgers, macaroni and cheese, black beans, navy beans, green beans and the list goes on! You also love our homemade granola bars and even helped to make them today! You are learning to feed yourself and holding a spoon very well. Most days it is in your left hand!
You love your dogs and call them often. "Dog!" and you pat your leg just like your dad and I to say "come!" You are saying "mama" "dada" "book" "dog" "uh oh" "that" "yah" "ball" "socks" and you are close to "all done" and "thank you" You sign: more, please, thank you, hat, wash hands, all done, coat, brush teeth and you are close to getting cracker. Its a tough one! You LOVE being outside. You walk to the doors and knock often, telling us you want to go outside. You get so excited when we put shoes and a coat on because you know, "an adventure is about to happen!" You love to cook in your kitchen and you are mastering building towers and knocking them over.
You love your friends and you are playing well with others. You like to know that I am close by and you are a happy little lark. You give great hugs, the sweetest kisses and you are so dear. You say "awww" when you hear a baby crying or are giving a hug. You are adventure. Adventure every day! Your "dada" and I love you to the moon and all the way back again! I wonder what next month will hold?
love,
Mom
